Motorcycle preparation

In the morning, before going on the track, there is a mechanical inspection that is performed on bikes riding on the track. This inspection is MANDATORY to ensure a maximum level of security at events on a track.

Prior the mechanical inspection, it is the rider’s responsibility to make sure that the bike complies with the following rules.

The bike has to be in good condition and clean. No leaks must be detected. All parts must be properly fixed on the bike (no loose parts) to avoid the risk of losing parts and be dangerous for other riders.

The fixed side mirrors must be removed and mirrors with hinges must be folded. Those with integrated turn signals must be covered with tape or folded on themselves. The lights must be covered with tape (“duct tape" type). It is recommended to remove the light fuse to prevent melting of the adhesive coming from the tape on plastics.

Tires have to be no more than 50 % of wear and brakes no more than 60% of wear. Carbon brake disks are forbidden.

Wheel weights have to be taped. ("Duct Tape")

The chain has to be lubricated properly and sprockets must be in good condition.

For riding lessons and track days both stickers ( the one for group level given on registration and  the one certifying that mechanical inspection has been performed.) must be placed on the front fairing and be visible by the staff of entrance to track. Here is an example :

Sharp hand grips are forbidden.

Gas handle has to move freely and quickly.

Central stand has to be fixed with tie wraps.

Side stand can stay in place.

All bikes require a number on the front fairing and each side of the rear fairings. Temporary numbers can be installed using colour tape (red or black depending of the bike colour). If you don’t have a number on your bike, a number will be assigned by the organisation. Numbers must be visible by the marshals at their stations. Here is an example:

In order to reduce the mess on the track in case of crashes, all participants have to replace their coolant into the radiator with distilled water + a special liquid to avoid overheating of the engine like RedLine liquid, Water Wetter, Cool Aid, etc.. The cost of a coolant change at a dealer is around $ 150 and needs to be done later for the winter storage. Otherwise, bike rental could be your best option. Refer to “rental rates” tab for more information.

Mandatory equipments

As for the riding gear, the leather suit is mandatory. Could be in 1 or 2 pieces but must have a "Zipper" that connects the top (jacket) and bottom (pants). This is to avoid that the coat slides and goes back up (raises) in the back in case of fall. Available for rental 60$ /day.

The back protector is also mandatory. It's a part that protects the column in case of impact (interior linings from the jackets are not sufficient)

Motorcycle boots protecting the ankle are MANDATORY. Motorcycle shoes are not allowed. Available for rental 20$/day.

Leather gloves protecting joints must be worn and must cover the cuff of the leather sleeve.

Riders must use a full face helmet legally bearing a SNELL or ECE 22-05 standard sticker and free from damage. Manufacturing date must be 5 years max. Modular helmets (part protecting chin can move up) are not allowed. Available for rental 30$/day
